I explore the idea of identity and the blurred boundaries between presence and absence. The image plays with distortion, creating an ethereal quality that suggests something fleeting or intangible. The blurred figure symbolizes a state of transition or uncertainty, as if the subject is both there and not there at the same time, caught in a moment of change. This photograph reflects my interest in the dualities of perception—what is real and what is imagined. The viewer might see the figure as a metaphor for how we perceive ourselves and others: distorted by our experiences, memories, and emotions. Hole Illusion refers to the gaps in perception and understanding, the places where our vision and our sense of self fall apart.
